Here are some screenshots (from ChView) of Piper's Federation as mapped out in a posting by William Taylor on the Piper Mailing List on 2/26/2001.
Shot 1 is of the Federation as a group. At the top
right you can see Curtana and Morglay (of the Sword Worlds) just off the
map. Terra is in the box in the middle of the shot.
Shot 2 is of the worlds around Terra. Terra-Baldur-Marduk
are boxed.
Shot three's perspective is from the opposite side of the
Federation from the Sword Worlds, looking through the Federation at the SW, with
the 4 SW that are mapped being boxed. The local group around Terra are in
the upper left corner of the screen.
Shot four shows another feature of ChView. You can
tell it to map the paths that are below certain lengths. In this view,
White is for 0-100 ly, Lt Blue is for 100.1 to 150 ly and Green is for up to 200
ly. You can also set the radius of view and choose what star to
center on. This shot is worlds within 400 ly of Poictesme. 
Shot five shows the same layout, but now centered on Hoder,
and from a slightly different angle.
